The archive has been describe as "the most significant collection of modern papers" from one of the 20th century's most important figures. Papers in the archive give insight into Churchill but also the times in which he lived, which saw huge change and catastrophic events such as World War II.

The website also provides teaching resources for both school age and university students and research tools. The research tools include the catalogue (spilt into pre 27 July 1945 and post 27 July 1945) and a description of the categories used to enable users to search the archive (people, place, period, topic).

Find out more and browse the catalogue listings, which are freely available on the site.
