Researcher in residence 2016/2017
Calling all
researchers!
April marks the opening of applications for the fourth year of our
Researcher in Residence scholarship.
The Auckland Library Heritage Trust, in association with Auckland Council, is offering a research scholarship for the Sir George Grey Special Collections at the Central City Library.
Sir George Grey
Special Collections is home to a broad range of material and the scope for
proposals covers this breadth. The focus of your research can extend to the
depth and breadth of the collections and allows researchers to choose a topic
that is of interest to them. The images in this post highlight some of this
variety, as do posts from previous
years.
As well as rare and historic books, Sir George Grey Special Collections includes maps, manuscripts, archives, photographs, sketches, drawings, oral histories, musical recordings and sheet music, and ephemera.
The scholarship is open to New Zealanders and overseas visitors to New Zealand. To apply you need to have a research proposal based on material held in the Sir George Grey Special Collections.
Applications for 2016/2017 close on 27 May 2016, please visit this page for more detailed information.
